Well, it was the longest week of our lives and a very long drive but we made it to Omaha. After cleaning and packing for what seemed like forever (thanks Matt and Alissa for rescuing us) we checked out of the apartment and said goodbye. Saturday night we ended up sleeping at our friend's house (Brett and Annie) and watched the Nebraska football game. After celebrating their victory, we had delicious cake that Brett and Annie made to say goodbye to us. It was in the shape of Nebraska, decorated with corn. The cake was red velvet, making it "Husker Red" and even had the added element of blue vanilla pudding in the center, making it the Ogalala Aquifer of Nebraska. It was a very creative cake and very good. Some of our other friends brought homemade ice cream and we had an amazing dinner of pork sandwiches, Brett's amazing homemade baked beans and raspberry pretzel jello earlier that night. We slept at their house that night and got up very early Sunday morning to head out to Nebraska. We made the trip in a very full car in only 13 1/2 hours and made it to Eric's brother's house around 1am, where we immediately fell asleep.
Today has been a day of rest and unpacking. We will be staying at Eric's brother's (Tim) house until we find a place of our own. We are looking tomorrow and hopefully will have a place of our own soon. Congratulations to Eric and Kari Allen also! We just found out their second baby girl was born at 3:45am this morning. Claire Ann Allen, 8.4lbs, 23 inches long. Hopefully we will see pics soon!!!
Thank you to all that helped us in Utah. We couldn't have made this trip without the help of all our friends and family and the support everyone gave us. Thank you to everyone that came to the baby shower and sent us their love. We appreciate everything we received and are very excited to use it for our baby. We love you and will miss you all!

Yeah!! I am so glad you made safe and sound. Good luck with the apartment/house hunting. I hope all goes well and comes together quickly.
