4 months old...

Graham is now 4 months old!!! I can't believe how fast that went. I decided to wait to blog about it until we had his 4 month checkup. He got his shots again and did great. He barely cried and then took a long nap after.

Weight: 15 lbs 12 oz........75%
Height: 26 1/2 inches.........95%
Head: 17 inches.......90%
The doctor said he is the age of a 6 1/2 month old developmentally.

He now has two teeth on the bottom. The dentist thought they might be pearl teeth, meaning they were fake and not his real baby teeth, but after further examining, he found they are his real baby teeth. We now have to brush his teeth once a day. He actually really likes it. He laughs and smiles while we do it and he chews on the tooth brush.

We tried feeding him solids for the first time. He's good about eating off the spoon and keeping it in his mouth but he doesn't seem to like the taste. He made some pretty funny faces while we were giving it to him. He looked at Eric with the look of "why are you doing this to me?" Hopefully he'll like it soon. It will be nice not to feed him a bottle every two hours.

Graham now sleeps anywhere from 8 to 10 hours a night. We got 12 hours one time. That was AMAZING!!! After a bath, lotion and warm pj's, he plays for a little while and then eats a bottle as we rock him. He usually puts himself to sleep with the help of his mobile. When he's done eating, we lay him in the crib and turn the classical music option on his mobile on and he puts himself to sleep. Sometimes he goes to bed around 9 or 9:30pm but usually he fights it until 10:30pm. We just have to let him fuss until he finally gives in.

Graham is starting to mock us. He moves his mouth as if he is trying to talk when we are talking to him. It's really cute seeing him mimic us. He knows when to open his mouth for food. We just have to show him the bottle and he knows what it means. He's starting to pick that up with the spoon as well.

He is getting better at sitting. We can let him go and he'll balance for a few seconds before falling over. He really enjoys sitting up and isn't content laying on the ground for long periods of time now. He loves to stand up. We sit him on our lap and hold his hands. The second we say "Big Boy!" he smiles and pulls himself up onto his legs. We barely have to help him with it. He is very good on his legs and loves to bounce.

He is really good with his hands now. He can reach out and grab something right away instead of struggling to grab it. He has started playing with toys more and pushing the buttons to make the music play. It's amazing to see him develop and accomplish new things.

Graham is such a happy baby. Everything makes him smile and laugh. He is rarely sad and never really cries. He fusses when he is tired or hungry or wants to be held. He has become a snuggle bug. Whenever he is tired, he snuggles into me and loves to be rocked and sung to. I love it!

Just keep up the good work - it sounds like you're a fantastic mommy Julia, just like everyone knew you would be.
