Rainstorms and Sunsets
About a week ago, a big storm hit Omaha, knocking our power out for 2 hours. The humidity was so bad that our house got up to 85 degrees and of course it was Graham's bed time, so we had to fan him off to get him to cool down enough to sleep. The lighting didn't stop flashing. Literally, there wasn't a pause in the strikes for a solid half an hour. They would strike and then each branch of the lighting would fizzle out to create more branches. It was amazing to watch that and the rain pouring so hard, the streets were flooding. When the rain passed, the lighting continued and the sky turned an eery green color, combined with the most beautiful sunset and cloud formations I have ever seen.

That is gorgeous. Wow. Was the lightening really scary? Matt says we have wimpy ones out here. We are getting excited to get out there too.
Wow. Just wow!
Julia--I'm trying to remember which books we were all reading in the office, when you left. I'm guessing you've read The Hunger Games--last book comes out on the 24th. Have you read the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs? LURVE them! Don't be put off by the skanky ho covers--she's not like they dress her at all. The first book is called "Moon Called". Did you read The Mortal Instruments series? City of Ashes, City of Bones, and City of Glass? It's a finished series by Cassandra Clare. Hope that helps.
